Grand Slam Club/Ovis founder and Executive Director Dennis Campbell passed away Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018. He had been in charge of the Grand Slam Club since 1990 and grew the organization from fewer than 400 members to approximately 4,000 members today. He began a similar organization for international mountain game hunters in 1997 known as Ovis, Inc. He donated that organization, along with its life membership fund, to the Grand Slam Club in 2001, and the two merged into Grand Slam Club/Ovis (GSCO). During his 27 years as executive director, GSCO directly donated nearly $9 million for big game conservation projects worldwide. GSCO has several different awards known as “milestones,” which have been calculated to generate more than $80 million annually for wildlife conservation worldwide.
