Game Description
Major Game Animals Taken:Bear, Black; Bear, Black
Game Sought But Not Taken:Wolf; ; ; ;
Game Conditions Comments:The bear population was impressive to us. Although we were there early and it had been a long winter we were quite impressed. Also in regard to wolf, we saw tracks all over, including new tracks after rain. Also scat and tracks near baits. Only had time for one dedicated outing for wolf - so not this time.

Name of Airline:Air CanadaAirline ServiceFair
Airline Comments:Felt no less than cheated by AirCanada, having been charged not just the weapons fee but also an excess luggage fee running into the $200CAD on the return. I have had many hunts and never experienced this, and also it only happened on the return from Edmonton Intl. Airport. I can only say: hunters beware of AirCanada. They require separation of lock from rifle (as do all) and cite a weapons fee of 30 euros. You are allowed one piece of luggage. Then in Edmonton they decided that the gun case was one piece of luggage, so my ordinary luggage (in which the lock was on one of course) was then suddenly excess luggage on top of the weapons charge. I have been flying Lufthansa, Scandinavian and even Romanian Tarom and never had such a bad experience before AirCanada.

Summary Remarks
Problems of Hunt:None
Highlights of Hunt:There was so many. Bears were good, large and plenty. Guiding was extremely professional, camp was a pleasure, nature was beautiful. Two of us had brought our wives and they were so pleased with everything - they felt pampered and so very well taken care of.
Equipment Recommendations:Ask Ross, he will advise you. Bears were tougher than we had thought when shot at, so I at least would advise bringing enough gun, although I know many a bear is taken with .308 or 7mm.
Would You Recommend This Hunt to a Friend?yes
Why?Well, I brought three of my friends, my wife and the wife of one of the others. To my great pleasure I was right in following the advice of The Hunting Report article ID 2745 where Tom McIntyre recommended Ross Kinch. I would recommend this hunt because Ross offers a very good, pleasant and relaxed bear hunt that made me, my friends and our wives very happy.
