Summary Remarks
Problems of Hunt:None really, insofar as the outfitter goes. Warren provided in-the-field breakfast sandwich, lunch and snacks. For evening meals you have the option of eating with him and his wife in Crowheart, about 20 miles from the DuBois motel, or eating at a Dubois restaurant. I dined at his home (excellent elk meatloaf!) first night, but chose to eat in Cowboy Cafe -- next door to motel -- on other occasions. nAs an old guy who had not been on a horse in 40 years or so, the riding left me semi-saddlesore by mid-day despite being provided with a very gentle gelding trained to follow Warren's more spirited horse.nn
Highlights of Hunt:Seeing multiple elk -- as well as other critters -- and spending time with a gentleman who really knows a lot about Wyoming and its wildlife.
Equipment Recommendations:Be prepared to ride a horse. Might have brought a cushion to put between my behind and the saddle if i was doing it over again.
Would You Recommend This Hunt to a Friend?yes
Why?Reasonably priced for a guy on a budget and Warren and his wife are good folks. He knows the area well and goes where the elk are.

Additional Hunter Comments and/or Outfitter/Booking Agent Rebuttals
Will always remember the final encounter with the bull collected. We were riding up a mountainside after a mid-day lunch and nap and suddenly Warren spun his horse around and stopped, signaling me to do the same. He'd spotted a cow elk. After dismounting, we did a sneak up to where we could see several cows grazing and hear bulls (at least 2) bugling. We parked ourselves and sat for about two hours, listening and watching the cows and calves, until the bull emerged about 200 yards away in shootable situation. A couple of spike bulls had presented themselves as well during the wait. nI had initially contacted another Wyoming outfitter, located via Hunting Reports and other research, and was told but the lady in charge of booking that i didn't need to send a reservation fee; just wait until i had drawn a license. So I didn't send the fee then. But, after getting the license in January 2017, called back to book the trip and was told that hat they had already filled up on bookings for the 2017 fall season. The lady apologized profusely and I asked if there was anyone they would recommend as an alternative. She said only one -- Warren Fleming. nCalled him and things fell into place -- he didn't want a deposit, just said show up on the determined date and pay then. That made me almost a bit nervous, but he said people still ought to trust one another. Did so and he proved most trustworthy.
