Summary Remarks
Problems of Hunt:There were no significant problems on the hunt. Phil took care of all issues as they came up. He had a strong staff which took care of everybody's needs as they arose.
Highlights of Hunt:*Took a very old, almost hairless trophy buffalo at last light after a long stalk in the thick mopane forest. The bull was part of a large (200 head) herd which was nervous and shifting with the wind. He was an old, scarred up dugga boy which was just what I wanted.nn*Took a very large leopard on the first night sitting in the blind. All of the prep work turned out perfectly.
Equipment Recommendations:Good boots and gaiters would be very important if you are going to walk. We also brought shotguns and got in some bird hunting which was a great change of pace.
Would You Recommend This Hunt to a Friend?yes
Why?Phil is a perfectionist. He tailors your experience to your requests and there were no surprises. Phil will get you on very mature, large trophy animals which was very important to me. His success percentage on leopards is very high which was also important as I was not sure I could afford to return again soon. If you can be specific with your desires, Phil can make it happen.

Additional Hunter Comments and/or Outfitter/Booking Agent Rebuttals
The thing that really impressed me was how much information Phil has gathered on his concessions and the animals in it. He has collected several years of trail camera photos and can often provide multiple photos of the leopards in his area sorted by year. Phil will only allow his hunters to shoot fully mature male leopards, and knows the male leopards in his area (literally by name). He is limited in the number of leopards on quota and makes sure that the ones taken are older and generally very large. I would reccomend \"Big Cat\" Phil without reservation.
